October jeans

Fall is my favorite season. Well, mostly. I love the leaves, the crisp air, Halloween, and, of course, not dying of heat exhaustion on every run.

But there is one fall thing I hate: squeezing into jeans again after wearing shorts all summer. I know I had to take some time off in summer 2016 due to injuries and a crazy schedule, but this is ridiculous! I had to perform a fierce dance ritual to even get into these things, and I had to suck in my stomach all the way up to my eyeballs to button them.

Lesson learned – when you get injured and can’t run, don’t just take time off. Do other exercises and focus on a healthy diet. Comfort food and sitting on your can for two months will set you up for a denim battle!
